Sumit Sanjel

Sumit Sanjel graduated ACCA at NCA, and has about 15 years of experience in various areas of financial management, assurance and risk management, in private, public and not-for-profit organizations. He has completed MSc in Professional Accountancy from University of London.  

Sumit’s experience range from having worked as public financial management expert for technical assistance team for government programmes, as assurance expert in development agencies, as resource person for NFRS implementation, as risk management expert in various capacities, as audit staff in an audit firm, as freelance financial management expert and so on. He has experience in strategic financial management decision-making, risk management, assurance (internal and external auditing), compliance, governance, policy preparation and analysis, financial reporting and analysis, and internal controls (planning, budgetary, treasury, financial administration, expenditure control, procurement, accounting and reporting, assets management, financial reviews and monitoring and auditing system), change management, capacity development and has deep understanding of practices of public and private sector agencies. Being a professional accountant with international qualifications, he has acquired knowledge of global standards in the private and public sector. He has acquired entrepreneurial skills through founding companies and holding executive positions.
