After clearing the plus two exams, most of the students jump in to get hold of a blooming career, and they, in search, obviously collide with the ACCA or CA career in Nepal. Undertaking the evident counselling sessions in both sections decides to go for one but only after clearing the confusions related to ACCA and CA course in Nepal. So, let’s go for one by one myth that is implanted in the students’ minds.

MYTH #1

My degree is UK-based, so I won’t be able to find a job in  ACCA in Nepal after graduation. In such a case, I must relocate after completion or settle abroad.

TRUTH: ACCA in Nepal has a vast scope. There are many

Affiliates and members of ACCA work at mid-and top-level management

Big reputable organizations with a good salary and profile, including

Government or public service. ACCA is becoming increasingly lucrative to pursue as the world becomes increasingly global, and its scope only grows. Being a UK-based Chartered Accounting body benefits Nepal without affecting ACCA’s capacity or opportunities here.

MYTH #2

Costs associated with ACCA are high.

TRUTH: Studying ACCA in Nepal is around 4-6 lakhs in cost, which is relatively affordable compared to other qualifications such as a BBA and other Chartered Accountancy qualifications. Furthermore, you can even receive a scholarship from some colleges. It is one of the top financial courses globally, which is why the tuition is very affordable. Investing in these products instead of spending money on them is a wise decision. ACCA qualified individuals receive a payback in as little as a year for the amount they spend on pursuing it, and they experience unlimited career progression. The investment is worthwhile.

Myth#3

I am unable to pass the ACCA exam.  To pass, I must study 14-16 hours per day.

If you want to maximize your chance for a successful ACCA career, plan everything. It’s not that difficult if you dedicate a few hours daily and use the resources wisely. The night before the exam, however, you cannot study. As a result, people work hard in the wrong direction without knowing what resources are available, how exams are conducted, and what expectations they have from the examiner. A good approach and a small, continuous effort are enough.

Myth #4

It is all about numbers at ACCA. Having a boring profession is a problem with no social life.

TRUTH: This isn’t the case. ACCA is much more than just a certification numbers viz; analysis, client relationship, decision-making, implementing various strategic decisions, teamwork, presentations, going to multiple Auditing entities, etc.

You won’t find ACCA boring. When you qualify for the job, you can select from various career options to help you fulfill your potential. Moreover, you can always maintain a good balance between your personal and professional lives. Additionally, you won’t run out of friends as your network will expand.

Myth #5

As a high-school student, I need a degree in management or commerce ACCA. Alternatively, I am a Science student or a student from another field is not for me.

TRUTH:The truth is that you do not require high school diploma to apply to pursue ACCA. It does not matter if you come from management, science, or any other field. No matter which of the three streams you choose in +2, you won’t have any difficulties since the course structure starts at the foundation level.

Some might argue that there are no other good colleges. The statement is also false. The best ACCA colleges in Nepal have astonishing achievements, like ranking first in the world. The following myths often discourage the students from applying and landing on their dream qualification due to tales based on unreasonable grounds. Don’t let them destroy YOUR dream of being ACCA!
